Dear All:

I am appealling to and imploring for help. First let me state I AM a snake
lover. I have a pet Ball Python.

However-

I just moved into a house a month and a half ago. Since that time I found 4
snakeskins in the basement and I removed a nest of 3 gardener snakes (took
them to the woods) on the opposite side of the outside of the house. Tonight
I just found 3 (!!!) more skins in the basement. Two of these were large ( 4
feet plus and 2 1/2 inches in diameter). Now the side of the basement were I
found 5 of these seven is full of rock and crevices in which snakes may hide
and live. Sealing all the nooks and cranies is nigh impossible. Besides how
will I know if I have closed the snakes in or out?!

Is there something I can put down (mothballs? steel wool? a chemical?) that
would drive these snakes out? What does one do if the house is apparently
overrun???

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a small daughter and wife who
is terrified of the things.

Thanks for you time,

Tom S.

Get rid of the food source. Set live traps for rodents, fumigate for
insects (garters will eat invertebrate prey happily).

Or... get a cat or dog! :)

I need to know where you live (Country, State and/or town/province) in
order to be of more help.
Also detailed descriptions of all snakes seen.

Cheers,

_Kurt
