I have 8 budgies right now. They love clover sprouts. It is the only
vegetable I can get them to eat. But, the stores have all sorts of alfalfa
sprouts, but hardly ever any clovers. I started growing my own. I got some
crimson clover sprout seeds from sproutpeople.com and followed their
directions. I soak the seeds overnight, then place them in some of the
plastic containers that sprouts come in at the store, with some drainage
holes poked into them. Rinse them off every 4 to 8 hours or so and give them
a little sunlight, not direct sunlight, and in about 5 days they will be
grown enough for the birds to eat. They usually only eat the green leafy
tips. It has saved me a bundle of time and money.
