..........This is absolutely the way to go, unless you want them to keep
trying successive antibiotics one after another. They're trying to get a
sterile sample, which they'll then culture and test for sensitivity to
antibiotics. This will tell them which antibiotic will kill off the
bacteria. Whether they'll do more tests as Sharon said, I don't know. The
way to find out is to ask your vet.
