Okay, i think i've finally decided on my next dog.. i was considering a few
different breeds and when everything was said and done.. i've decided
against the dalmatian.. against the english bulldog and against the
staffordshire bull terrier.. and am going to go with a German Pinscher.. Any
one have any experience with them.. and think they will mix well with my
other two boys.. Min Pin and Italian Greyhound... I've read alot that as
long as socialized early they should be fine.. They seem like they are the
perfect dog for me.. exact size and many of same characteristics i'm already
familiar with , with my minature pinscher..

Okay, I've been where you are, and here's what I feel about it.

I think someday I may want a German Pinscher. However, at this time I
don't think structure or temperament is where I want it to be. When I
started talking to people I found a fair amount of dog aggression to be
an issue. I also simply didn't like the functional structure of the dogs
I saw. Most were very straight both ends, some quite a bit higher in the
rear than the front, and even watching the show dogs move I was less
than impressed. Now granted, I wanted one for agility. If you don't want
anything but a pet, one might do fine but I'd still watch that dog
aggression carefully. I'd also be wary of health issues. It's a tiny
gene pool being built into a bigger one and as such there are bound to
be problems.

Oh and I now have a Min Pin, but have fallen in love with Rat Terriers
as well.

goodluck to you,you have thought long and hard and seem to have
researched your chosen short list which is fantastic.
im glad you didnt go for the dal as many we have through rescues are
when ppl havent researched them long enough and just look at the spots
and go awwww.
on the other hand i always love it when a dal goes into a home and are
ready for them :)
as well as searching for a breeder do remember to (please) check to see
if any are in rescue.i cant find a specific breed rescue for them in
the uk so i dont know if you will have one to serve you but its always
worth keeping your ear to the ground.if anyone can give any dog a
second chance then its magic!

all the very very best to you,dg xx
