Sounds cool. I would build the tank with an empty space in the middle, that
is where I would put the filter (I.e. sump w/d with heater etc. ). Have
the table top lift off for maint. and include 4 small flourescent light
inset in the top for lighting. Top top will have to be a little extra thick
to handle all the lighting, venting etc. Your top would most likely be
about 2 ft high depending on your tank hight. The bottom support will have
to be very rigid, or moving it will crack the tank. Let us know how it
