Food for mice

Hi!
I was wondering if honey dew mellon and other types of mellon was
alright for mice?

Also I am planning to get friend for Midnight and was wondering how to
find Mouse Breeders in my area. Does anyone know how to find out about
local breeders in the area, I have tried the searching the internet on UK
websites but there was not much. I do think finding a local breeder is a
better option, instead of buying from a pet shop.
