It depends how long you are going for. 3 or 4 days and you could just not
feed them at all and they would be fine.
If it's for longer then you can either measure out the fishes daily food in
little bags and get a neighbour or friend to come in daily or even every
couple of days to feed them or you could buy holiday food. The usual holiday
food consists of white lumps of something which I believe is plaster of
Paris (?) mixed with the food so that it dissolves gradually for the fish to
it. These are horrible things and cloud your water and I doubt that they are
very nutritious. Tetra however make holiday sticks which float. I used these
last time I went away and my water was fine when I got back and the fish
seemed happy.
You can also buy automatic feeders which you fill with your food and it
releases it into the water daily. I don't think they are too expensive.
