Our female is almost 8 and weighs about #55 . Fairly recently it seems like
she is eating MUCH more than normal. Her water drinking hasn't seemed to
change. We usualy fill her good size bowl about every 4-5 days or so. We
feed her Purina One lamb and rice. I want to start feeding her daily. My
question is, how much should we feed her, and when (AM or PM). We are both
gone through out the day, from 7AM to 6 PM and she is an inside dog. Thanks
for reading this and if you can help

I have a Lab, almost 8, over 80 pounds Did some research and
swithched him to Nutro Senior. I feed him twice a day, about two cups
each feeding. Supplement at night with a treat or raw veggies or
fruit.
Used to feed him whatever, thinking that if it's dog food it's got to
be OK . I've noticed better coat, more energy. Othet dogs foods,
after I smartened up, I noted were load with grains.

Don't kid yourself, Camaro. ALL dry dog foods are "loaded" with grains. It's
the nature of the beast. It's not neccessarily a bad thing, either.

Now when my dogs eat and there is food left after 20 minutes it tells me
they are not feeling well. It's a very rare occasion that there is any dog
food left in either bowl.

They both are fed at 6am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm. Most dogs are fed twice a day and
that sufficient for them. The only reason mine are fed 4 times a day is
Barney takes medication at those times and I never give any dog meds without
food. It lessons the chances of and upset stomach that way.

until the next day.
