I would say Shell dwellers like Multi's or even Juli's.

Conventional wisdom says that it's the convict cichlid.

The Guppy award goes to: *opens envelope*
from the African lakes: Brichardi
from the African rivers: Kribensis
from South America: Angelfish, Acaras and Apistos (depending on your
luck)
from Central America: Convict cichlid
from North America: Rainbow cichlid
from Asia: I'd be hesitant to recommend an easy breeder, (and I'm not
going to consider Blood Parrots or Flowerhorns as Asian).... but once you
get a Mozambique mouthbreeder to breed, you will have no shortage of fry
;~)

I hope I got my Central & North division right, though if I didn't
someone will correct me ;~)

Well, you did miss the Asian classification. Mozambique is hardly an
Asian coutry. The only cichlids I know that exist in Asia are the
Etropolus kind better known as chromids !

Well I couldn't list a brackish water chromide as easy to breed ;~) , and
besides, naming does not automatically indicate the only area a fish
occupies, only its origin of discovery. For example, the Monodactylidae
have a variety of names, and are claimed to be indigenous by more than
one country. Fish which move between Australia and Africa and/or along
the coast under India could be considered Asian.

I don't know if the Mozambique mouthbreeder fits this description, (I'm
only guessing) but if it crossed the saltwater straits to reach
Mozambique, there's a good possibility ;~)

Cinvicts need a wet paper towel right? *lol*

I have two seperate trios of breeding fish. I have a Labido Chromis that
give me fry every month and the smae goes for the Kenyi. My OB peacocks have
been very reluctant to breed but my Ahli Hap's are getting into the monthly
cycle as well.. Eat for a week and hold for three..
