Are certain breeds more 'OK" with being left home alone? I am single,
and work 8 hrs per day.. 5 days per week (the usual). I was just
wondering if that should be a consideration when choosing a dog. Are
some breeds more adept to being left alone? Also, are those that are
OK being alone... less affectionate when you ARE at home? (That would
defeat the whole purpose. If I wanted to be ignored, I'd get a cat)

;)

Hi Jason ,
Bear in mind you also have travel time to add to the 8 hours so if
you work nine to five , you could be gone for 10 hours. You need to
take the dog for a decent walk before you leave in the morning ( not
just a pee break ) and again at night .If you adopt a dog you might
find one that is used to being left and is ok about it . It would be
best if you could arrange for someone to walk the dog in the day to
give it a break .
