ELB's little Boston got peed on once, and it was basically her fault for
sticking her head where it didn't belong. She got her head washed once for
that, and bathed twice in a span of 3 days. The baths were 'cause when
she's not busy chasing balls, she likes to roll around in mud puddles.

Also, Bostons can jump Jacuzzi tubs. Shocked me no end when I put her in
there, went off to get a towel, turned around and almost stepped on her,
'cause there she was.

Read again, I said "but apparently, the baby shampoo is ok
to use because it is so mild".

Please to explain why it's "mild." What does that term mean?

Back in prehistory, when I was bathing a hundred dogs every Monday, the
soap of choice was Orvus paste. It's not a foofy scented shampoo, but it
rinses out well. It comes in the huge container, which is a drawback if
you only need one dog's worth, but handy if you're doing lots of dogs or
the same dog frequently.

You'll most often find it available in feed stores and places with
livestock supplies. (It also does a good job cleaning cattle, hogs, and
horses!)

I use plain old baby shampoo on mine very 4 to 6 months. I especially like
the lavender scented baby shampoo.
