Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that Dipper has been very sick
for the past few weeks now. She had been diagnosed with an inner ear
infection but I believe there is much more going on. I have the
feeling she is in renal failure. She is drinking lots and lots of
water, she has lost the ability to hold it and is also losing the
ability of her back legs. She will urinate and lay in her urine
unable to get up. Her weight has dropped. She has been eating but not
with her usual "gusto". I have a call in to the vet and will let you
know what is going on. Please keep Dippy in your prayers.

Yes she has been on Baytril, Metacam for pain and cicipride for loose
stool. I just spoke with her vet. I am bringing her in this
afternoon. My daughter said she was having convulsions this morning.
I'm seriously considering euthanasia. She has been on meds for a
while now and is not getting better. After watching my mother die in
pain I will not allow another member of my family to do so if I have
the power to change the outcome.

Thanks Professor.

Thanks Petrina. We're bringing her in to the vet late this
afternoon. We'll see what she has to say before we make any decisions
however I'm pretty sure this may be her last day here. :(

Oh, how terrible to hear. Hope the vet can shed some light on her condition
and help her to a full recovery quickly. Prayers being sent for your sweet
little girl. Carla Liza and Jodie.

(((((MIckey)))))

It may be worth a try putting her on bicillin. An ear infection can affect a
lot of things.
In the meantime, try using Tranquility bedpads, they will keep her dry.

I'm so sorry she's ill my friend. I'll pray for the wee girl.
