1 of my Degu has very long front teeth (compared to the other...I'd
say around 0.5 cm vs 0.2 cm).
He can still eat normally...But I wonder if I should do something
about it...I heard about clipping them with a regular nail clipper.
Anyone has done this before on a rodent ?

Usually its very easy to prevent this. just give them enough stuff to gnaw
on. pine is good. just pop it in the oven for a little while too heat it up
and sanitize it.
As for the clipping, it is always smart to go to the vet to let him do it
the first time, let him show you, if you do it wrong their teeth can get
pretty screwed up.

Degus - Anybody have degus on this NG? They are the sweetest, cutest little creatures. Bigger than a gerbil (we have those) and smaller than a chinchilla. We call ours the "wheebles" because of the noises they make, will be happy to chat on this boa...

Nibbling Degus - Hi, I recently (one week ago) bought two gerbils. the first day, one of them got stuck in a little box, and while i rushed to the rescue, the other one saw me as a threat and bit me rather hard in my pinky, no biggie for me but for them it seemed kinda..

Gerbil teeth - Hi I checked the teeth on my gerbils today and i discovered that they were really yellow/oransje. Is that normal? Beate
