All of my finches have died. All at once. I had finches of every age, and
every single one died, all at once. I walked past their cages, and they
were all dead on the floor. This is so upsetting.
I asked the gas company to come and check for me, if there is a leak or
anyting. My a/c has been working properly. They have not been spraying for
mosquitoes ehre, we don't use aresol, or cleaners in our house. The garage
is a seperate building. All of the windows were closed.
I have not had any paint or renovations recently done. I had no changed
their food recently, i mean brands, they got new food everyday.
For now, I am so upset I want to ask waht could have happened to my birds?
Anyone else have similar experiences, or things I should be looking for? I
have been keeping birds for nearly 10 years, and have never had such an
awful experience. I wish there was somehting else I could have done.
I have no other birds in the house, but I do have other animals. >> Stay informed about: Dead Finches |

I don't know what to say. I had something similar happen to me recently but
I know why my finches died. I was camping with Dad and Mom (who was taking
care of the birds) didn't understand the difference between Parakeet seed
and Finch seed (despite it being clearly marked). The only thing I can think
of for you is to get some necropsies done. Have you had your water or
air-quality checked?

Necrospy, the non-human version of an autopsy, to find out why they
died.
Once you know that, you can take steps to prevent it in the future. >> Stay informed about: Dead Finches |

Do you have a self cleaning oven that you ran a self clean cycle on? Some of
these will outgas fumes that can kill birds. I have Zebra finches and will
never use the self clean mode.
