Her name is Sarina. She is a 9 month old all black Great Dane. She is
soo lovable. She is house broken, but does have the occasional
accident. This is really breaking my heart to do this, but due to
personal circumstances, I will no longer be able to care for her. She
is Registered, however, I cannot seem to find her paperwork at the
moment. She also needs to have her food pureed in the blender. The
vets see nothing wrong with her, she just can't hold down solid food.
I live in connecticut. I really need to find a loving family for her
soon. Please respond to bciarcia.RemoveThis@pepehazard.com as soon as possible.
I will be glad to supply photographs upon request.

The breeder is unreachable and lives half the country away.. I just
thought this would be the best medium to find the right home for her,
rather than putting an ad in the paper..

Does anyone collect answers to this question? I'm interested in them.

I've never purchased a dog but I've assumed that part of the cost is
to support caring for dogs who get placed with people who don't keep
them. I want to be corrected if this isn't true,

Thank you.

This is a poor place to find a home... What would be of much more help
would be a Dane rescue group. They can advise you on how to advertise a
dog and how to select a home.... or will take the dog and place it...
but they won't Buy the dog. You can probably find Dane rescue groups by
doing a search for Great Dane Rescue. Even if nothing comes up for your
immediate area, the nearest-to-you of the groups that do show up may
well be able to guide you to someone fairly nearby.

The eating problem may make it EXTREMELY difficult to place the dog in a
good home.

What did your purchase contract say about you placing the dog without
discussing same with the breeder? You really do need to dig deeply to
find those papers, which will ID the breeder.

IMO the net is not the place to advertise. You have no way of knowing
who will answer or the type of home they offer. An ad would allow you to
meet people one-on-one.
