That's what "Animal Rights" is about. "AR" organizations are sometimes
confused with Animal Welfare groups--and I believe a significant percentage
of the millions of dollars they take in each year is from people who are more
interested in promoting AW than "AR"--so it's a good thing to point out the
difference between the objectives from time to time.

· "Animal Rights" is a gross mi$nomer in regards to domestic
animals. The goal of "ARAs" is to eliminate domestic animals,
and they exploit Animal Welfare issues to generate funding for
what they hope to accomplish. "ARAs" are extremely opposed to
the suggestion that people try to contribute to decent lives
for farm animals with their lifestyle, because that works
against their elimination objective.
People who want to contribute to decent lives for farm animals
with their lifestyle should accept that they can not do it by
being veg*ns, but only by being more conscientious consumers of
animal products. Also keep in mind the fact that some types of
meat involve fewer animal deaths than some types of vegetable
products.
Anyone who wants to promote better lives for animals should be
aware of the huge difference between "AR" and Animal Welfare.
People should only contribute to "AR" if they want to support the
elimination of domestic animals. ·

AVMA Policy on Animal Welfare and Animal Rights

Animal welfare is a human responsibility that encompasses all aspects
of animal well-being, from proper housing and nutrition to preventive
care, treatment of disease, and when necessary, humane euthanasia.
The AVMA's commitment to animal welfare is unsurpassed.

However, animal welfare and animal rights are not the same. AVMA cannot
endorse the philosophical views and personal values of animal rights
advocates when they are incompatible with the responsible use of animals
for human purposes, such as food and fiber, and for research conducted
to benefit both humans and animals.

No, Fuckwit. He points out that your weird, absurd,
corrupt philosophy would justify raising children for
food, then claiming it was all right to kill them
because "at least they got to experience life". That
is precisely where your absurd, weird, corrupt belief
system leads.

I didn't say there is anything great about it, Fuckwit.
I said you don't understand it well enough to be able
to attack it properly. You just don't get it to be
able to critique it. You're an idiot.

You sure don't. If you can, prove it. But you can't.

Yes, I do. It's obvious I do. That's why my critique
of it makes sense. You DON'T get it, and it's why you
can't critique it at all.

LOL. What is your critique of it? Oh, that's right, so far
