Post subject: Freshwater Current
Archived from groups: rec>aquaria>freshwater>misc (more info?)

I've put a second small RIO powerheads (mini 50) in my freshwater
tank. It's a 40 gal with 2 raphael cats, 5 ottos, and a variety of
rainbows (Boesmani, Aust. Madagascan, & Axelrodi).

Is this too much current for the Boesmani which are lake dwellers? I
plan on keeping one power head going 24/7 (It's been in there for a
couple of months and the ottos and the Aust. Rainbows really seem to
"like" it), and the new one will be on the same timer as the lights.

Any thoughts?
