My cats catch birds....They do this by looking up at them while they feed,
and then sneaking up on them and leaping in the air trying to catch them as
they fly away......They are not very often successful at this, but it isn't
because they can't look up.

After thinking about this for a while, I have come to the conclusion that
cats normally live horizontally, while we humans live vertically....So, we
are already at a distinct advantage in looking up, since we already have a
90 degree advantage over cats......I think cats can, "look up" just as well
as we can, discounting that 90 degree advantage.....

Maybe they're not looking up all the time, but my Deetoo tip toes on her
hind paws and can reach up over three feet off the ground. Damned irritating
when she reaches up onto the dinner table and snags a piece of food when I'm
having dinner. The hard part is that it happens so fast that she's gone with
it before I can do anything about it.
