As we all know, it is physically impossible for a cat to look up
(something to do with the skeletal structure of the feline neck
vertebrae), but does anyone know of any surgical procedure which will
allow it?

Maybe you should visit Lenscrafter then look at your cat again.

My cats catch birds....They do this by looking up at them while they feed,
and then sneaking up on them and leaping in the air trying to catch them as
they fly away......They are not very often successful at this, but it isn't
because they can't look up.

After thinking about this for a while, I have come to the conclusion that
cats normally live horizontally, while we humans live vertically....So, we
are already at a distinct advantage in looking up, since we already have a
90 degree advantage over cats......I think cats can, "look up" just as well
as we can, discounting that 90 degree advantage.....

Maybe they're not looking up all the time, but my Deetoo tip toes on her
hind paws and can reach up over three feet off the ground. Damned irritating
when she reaches up onto the dinner table and snags a piece of food when I'm
having dinner. The hard part is that it happens so fast that she's gone with
it before I can do anything about it.

I am curious to know how many cats some of you have.. - I have three indoors. Wendy who crossed our path six years ago (at eight weeks old) and taught us to love all cats great and small. One kitty that's a bit too curious - My family and I live in an Orange County suburb. We are not pet owners. There are hundreds of stray cats in our community, but many hang about our house. This is the result of dry foods left in our carport our well-meaning but bothersome neighbors. ..

Kitty Very Curious About Litter Box - This is NOT the same issue as before--where she seemed to want to do #1 at other places. Again that SEEMS to be solved--clumping litter seems to have done the trick (as I've found clumps of #1 in there 2-3 times in the last 24 hours, and no traces of it....
