How much common sense do rabbits have?

We have a pure white lion head male with blue eyes called Snowball, who I
must say we absolutely love to bits.
Normally when the weather is bad before we go to work we keep Snowbs and
Ozzie the female guinea pig inside. They live together quite happily.

Well yesterday the weather started off fine (we live in the south east of
England) so my husband put them out in their enclosure which has a small
hutch that they go into when it starts to turn nasty so!!!!! there is always
somewhere they can go to keep safe and warm away when the elements turn
nasty.
However, not long after they were put out the weather turned nasty raining,
sleety type of thing and so I became worried. Not about Ozzie because I knew
she would go in but him I had a gut feeling he would sit outside and I was
right. I got home at about 3.30pm looked through the hedge and there he was
looking as miserable as hell soaking wet and cold. I had to then try and
scoop him up which was a bit difficult because he was cold wet and bad
tempered and didn't want to play ball. I eventually got hold of him wrapped
him up in a towel and tried to get him warm and dry. I even put the hair
dryer on him. I put him back in his main house after a long cuddle and went
to find Ozzie and I was right she was buried down safe and warm with lots of
hay in the little hutch. So Nick and I think he must have been waiting for
us outside for at least 5 1/2 hours in that dreadful weather. I love him so
much. He's still only young, he was born on June 2nd 2005. Kate

about as much sense as humans that put their animals outside in the
winter.... :o)

sorry but mother nature never does what you expect so you would be much
better off keeping them inside during the winter months.

sorry for that first response but you really "set yourself up" for that
answer.

more importantly, i forgot to add that your rabbit and GP may get along
well NOW............but once your rabbit reaches PUBERTY (which is anytime
after 5 or six months of age) they may not get along at all.

that poor little guinea pig is gonna be very "put upon" by that rabbit and
there may be some nasty wounds on one or both of them.

i would not put them together any more unless you are there to supervise.

Sense of smell Qs - Ok. I have a question about my angry minilop, Raleigh. I'm hoping someone has some insight. Raleigh seems to have no sense of smell. While Clover and our guinea pig, Jasper, get all excited and easily find tasty treats like apple and papaya, Raleigh..

sense of humor - Do you think your bunny has a sense of humor? Sometimes I do. Other times I think she's just orney. I rained hay down on her. Sprinkle, sprinkle and she tooth purred. I think she thought it funny.

Rabbit Sense of Smell - Today I went to the shelter. I touched a few buns, most of whom were new and I hadn't touched before. I came home, had a quick shower (including soap) and changed clothes. I then went to feed Kanga and she growled and attacked my hand. Granted, I was...

Vet visits for checkups common? - I was wondering if many people here take their rabbits to the vet for a check up (even if there appears to be nothing wrong)? If this is a common thing, how often should one visit the vet for these check-ups? It's Fody's 2nd birthday soon. He's never..

Are deaths of bonded pairs common? - Hey everyone! About a month ago, my rabbit Carrot died during surgery to remove an abscess. Her mate, Martin, was obviously extremely lonely without her--became withdrawn and depressed. Sadly, he died very suddenly this morning. I'm somewhat console...
