Archived from groups: rec>aquaria>freshwater>goldfish (more info?)

Hi, I am new to this group. It is cool to know that there is a group
out there like this. Anyway, I have a question about my comet
goldfish. He seems to be having issues getting to the bottom of the
tank, like he has to work extra hard to get down there. As a result he
spends most of his time at the surface of the water. I have seen him
turn to his side a couple times, kind of like he is bobbing back and
forth. I am not sure what to do. I am really worried about him! Any
suggestions as to what I can do will be appreciated. Thanks!

Comet with a Wen (Cap) ?? - I saw what i'm pretty sure was a Comet, but with a Wen on his head like the cap on an Oranda. Is this possible? ....Kodiak

Just what happens when you overfeed a comet? - Besides the obvious problems with the water, do goldfish really get love handles if fed too much? My two comets are so pathetic that each time I walk by they both race to the same corner every time, open their mouths wide, acting like they have not..

Big Comet with little Goldfish - I have a 90gal tank with a 9" Comet. He's been alone most of his life. Yesterday I added 5 smaller comets about 1-2" long. At first the samller fish were chasing the big guy around, not really nipping but kind of chasing around once in a while....
