Isis has green-yellow eyes. That got me to wondering if these little guys
have multi-colored eyes like people or if one size fits all?

Does anyone have a cat with blue, brown or other colored eyes? Or maybe you
have a cat with one eye that's one color and the other another??

Thank you!

Luthien the Elder has 24K Gold eyes. The very cool thing was watching
the gold flecks come into the blue and gradually take over, when she
was a kitten.

Muezza Glorio is only 8 weeks old, but it appears that he is going to
have green/gold when he's done.

Zildjian the Eldest (may she rest in peace) had hazel green.

Many Siamese and other breeds have blue eyes that stay blue after
kittenhood.

White cats have been known to have one blue and one orange eye. It
often goes along with deafness.

My tortoiseshell Loulou has lovely deep green eyes, I had a tom once who had
very dark brown eyes, and the tom I have now Diego has eyes that are like
in-between yellow and green.

Perhaps Dr. Jebens, the veterinarian who just posted, would like to shed
some light on the whole process of eye coloration?

I believe the colored part of the eye is called the iris. I'd like to know
what substances make an iris blue, gold, or green. Isis' green-yellow eyes
must have a blue element in them since yellow plus blue equals green. The
idea of watching gold flecks appear in a blue background does sound
fascinating. I wonder what material generates gold in a cat's eyes??
