Archived from groups: alt>cats (more info?)

Hi All,

Thanks again for the info on kneading/mushing behaviour. My cats also seem
to enjoy licking or chewing on plastic bags around the house. We try to
discourage it (don't want them to choke on a piece), and we don't leave
bags out very often.

I'm just curious if it is a taste or a feel thing? Maybe they're
indicating a plaque build up or something?

Any ideas?
Steve

Steve, I think there was a thread about this a couple of months ago.
Not sure if anyone had a good reason. You might wanna search the
archives at Google.

One of my cats does that.
I'm not sure why, maybe he just likes to chew, the feel of it.
I call it the kitty-dental flossing.

My other kitty prefers to chew on little cardboard tags that come with new
clothes, she sits on her hind legs, grabs them with her front paws like a
squirrel, and has at it rather passionately till the whole thing is
completely shredded!
