I agree wholeheartedly. I kept an eye on my dog's foot, after she
started wearing the fur away. A week later she seemed listless. The
paw didn't look bad at all, other than some scabbing from where she
licked so hard. Took her to the vet, put her on antibiotic, and she
died a few days later. Evidently an infection from a bite, maybe
spider, opossum, skunk.

foot allergies - What can anyone tell me about foot allergies. I think Chloe has one, as she's always chewing and licking at her feet. What causes them? How do you care for them?

Foot pad separation - Our 2 year old Siberian Husky is very healthy and gets 2 ~1hr walks on concrete sidewalks every day. Her RR foot has one pad that is "falling off" but there seems to be a healthy fresh pad underneath. Is this normal?

foot update, any ideas? - hi all, Atlas got the grass seed in his foot a few weeks back, it has healed up and looks good. Since i took the bandage off he has not stopped licking it. I am heading for the vet tomorrow to get some stuff to put on it that makes it taste bad, but ....

Licking of foot - Update - Took him back to the vet. He has some condtiion of the paws that is annoying him. Vet THINKS it is lack of Zinc in his diet. I am now adding one tablet a week to his food, going to see how that goes. Thanks for advice everyone cin and Atlas -- ..
