Cat eats really fast, then throws up...

She may be afraid the other cats might eat her share. They should each have
dishes of their own (if they don't already). You can try switching her to
high quality canned food only. Dry food sometimes causes vomiting in cats.
If these suggestions do not work, have her see a vet to rule out medical
problems.

Might not be from eating too fast. What does the vomitus look like? Is it
undigested? Does it contain little specks that look like coffee grounds?
Does it have a tubular shape? Is it bile stained? Your post doesn't
contain enough information.

I cut back on suppertime meals. My cats just get a light snack for dinner.
It drastically cuts back on nighttime throw up. Sometimes they will throw
up a hairball.

Sorry - What she vomits is undigested food - there is no coffee ground
looking
specks (or blood) in her vomit, she is otherwise healthy, according to her
check up
less than 6 months ago, it is not tubular shaped, it is food shaped....

After reading others posts, I think I will move her bowl away from the
others
for a while and see if that works...

She only seems to vomit after eating one of their 2 daily meals of wet food
(breakfast & dinner) and will go back and eat the dry food down for them
all day (the dry food is very high quality - the best I have ever found).

I had this problem with one of my cats. The vet suggested putting a
small stone (so it couldn't be flipped out) in the food bowl to force
the cats to "eat around it". Did this with both food bowls - no more
problems.

Kato has been tossing her cookies for 16 years now and I expect she'll
be hurling til her dying day. It doesn't necessarily occur right
after eating. Smaller servings several times a day helps but no
matter how much she gets, she inhales the food. Sometimes it stays
down. Sometimes it doesn't. My cat will hurl if she gets upset at
another cat at the window or really anything at all. Just a weak
stomach. Like some people are always bringing up, only they usually
make it to the bathroom so you don't know about it.
