Hi John,

We have the same program set up here in Northern Ontario. The one time I
had them come and trap a cat that had been killing the birds in my yard, no
one claimed him. I hear he's still living at the Humane Society and is much
loved there.

We can do that here too. We live within the city limits and dogs are not
supposed to be running free. We have so many dogs running free around our
neighborhood. They brought a cage out here and we caught a cat in it earlier
in the night. So we went out there and let the cat loose. We called the city
the next day and told them to come and get the cage. We are just to tender
hearted!

If the cat is licensed, they are notified and have 2 weeks to pay fine
and pick up pet. If not licensed, cat is held for 2 weeks and then put
down by local vet.
