Hi,

we have just had our house rabbit, Benny, castrated. He also had a
week away whilst we were on holiday.

Since he's come back to the house he's more badly behaved than ever,
should we expect this after castration?

Also, we're considering getting him a neutered lady bunny friend to
live in the house with him.

Does anyone have any good / bad expriences on bunny buddies in the
house, pluis any tips?

Thanks

It does take several weeks for the existing male hormones to be used up in
his system. He should calm down a bit after that. Depending on his age, an
older bunny's behavior isn't always modified by neutering ( ie. if he was
spraying before he will probably spray afterwards).

If it wasn't too long ago, he may be going through menopause. Hang in there
with him and try to keep his life stress free as possible until he settles
in to the new him. I would hold off on getting him a friend until he
adjusts -- just my opinion.
