Hi there,
I just called a local chain photography shop to find out what it would cost
to print many copies of the same picture. They said that for 11-50 copies it
would be $0.74 each. I was wondering if this was in line with what other APR
members were finding as they get ready for the card exchange.
Also, is it necessary to have handmade cards to participate in the exchange?
Many people are talking about them, but I gotta tell you....I don't have an
artistic bone in my body. The results could be truly frightening! :-)
Take care,

Sorry, I should have added:
If you have found a better price, and it isn't a local-only store, could you
fill the rest of us in on it? Perhaps this question could help others in the
group as well. >> Stay informed about: Card Exchange - Pictures & Creativity |

you could take a nice color photo and bring it to kinkos or staples, etc.
and have it reproduced on a color copier. don't know the cost though.
if you have a friend with a digital, has them to snap a few pics and print
them out on a color printer.
it's NOT necessary to send photos. last year i didn't because it was my

Oh man! Why do I have a mental image of pawprints on the doorframes, the
walls, a table cloth... Carrie, you are a brave soul! lol I don't even want
to think about what Aimee would do if I tried to set her up with some paint.

Oh, would I love to watch that. Mocha would try to drink the paint!
Eugene wouldn't want to get "icky" on his snow white paws!

I like the idea of getting 2 extra sets when I get the roll of film
developed. It makes a lot of sense. I am so used to only being truly happy
with one or two prints out of a roll that the thought never even occurred to
me. Doh! That's what ya get for being a perfectionist! lol I'm working on it
though, really hard. ;-) I'm not sure how many of them might be fuzzy since
I have been using a flash, and Aimee is wont to move as bunnies do, but
hopefully a reasonable facsimile of her can be seen in every print.
I don't honestly think that printing out the pictures would save any money
as the cost of the toner would probably be very close to development cost
and, of course, I need to get the roll of film developed anyways, so extra
sets should be a relatively minor incremental cost.
Sounds like a plan, thanks for giving me a thwap! up the side of the head.
