Hi,

I will explain my situation about Camallanus :

I started to cycle my new 33g aquarium one month ago
with 2 goldfish that were healthy and fine. I removed them
to welcome some more fancy fish after the cycle. I think
I bought an Angelfish with Camallanus because two
weeks later, I found worms stuck in his anus. (Well I
bought it like that because I saw the threads the first day
but I didn't know what it was at that time.)

I removed him. I flushed also the 2 remaining fish in my 33 gallons.
Now my aquarium is empty and I don't want to start over
and lose all my plants by sterilizing everything, etc..

What I want to know is after two weeks, does the worms
had time to propagate all over the aquarium ? The worms
were "imported" into my tank.. they didn't grow into it.

To test my tank, I have put 2 new fish to see if they will catch the
worms after some time. If they won't catch it then fine ! If the
worms appear, I want to med my tank but fendendazole (Panacur)
is unavailable without a prescription of a veterinary. I asked
all my surroundings veterinary but they won't help me. "We do cats
and dogs blah blah". LFS are also of no use and always on defensive.

I asked the city Aquarium and I'll talk to an expert on monday...

Anyone know where to get fendendazole ?

Thank you very much !

When you say "flushed" I hope the fishies had already departed to the
fishy dead!

Did you treat with any medications? What are your water parameters?
PH, Nitrites, Nitrates etc... it'll be handy for the other ppl in the
group to know...
