Only this time it was something many long time owners of female
rats have had to deal with.
Yes she had mammary tumors. Three of them to be exact, about
45-50mm in diameter. Very encapsulated with no invasion into the
abdomal cavity. She recoverd quickly from anesthesia and is back to
her good old "stick that hand near the cage and I'll keep it" self.
8^) She is such a sweety outside but very territorial the cage.

She only goes as deep as you can stand. ;^)

one of the guys at the place where i sometimes buy rats was bitten by a
female that was nursing. she bit him so deeply that he had a wound for three
weeks!
