I own a Ball python, I recently put her in a 20 gallon tank. I recently
noticed her left eye has a dent, it looks cracked. Her right eye is round
but the left one really looks dented and both of them look really cloudy.
What can I do? Really the left eye concerns me it looks almost broken!!!
Also her skin is really dry, espically by her mouth. What can I do?

Take her to a vet that specializes in exotic pets.

Not worry. It sounds like she's due to shed. The dent in the eye should
disappear with the shed; I had a Ringed Python have the same problem and
after his next shed the eye was back to normal. Give her a decent size
water-bowl to soak in, a decent basking spot and something to rub against so
she can start the process.

Don't worry; she's going to do it fairly regularly while you have her.

And I know the snake's probably finished shedding by now but I thought it
might be good advice to leave for any other rookie owners out there - just
in case they have the same problem.

Cheers.
