yea this is kind of funny, dogs aren't agressive unless trained to be
so......yea right!!!

While I've never had a pit I have had a crazy ass lab/husky mix who thought
that regardless of size that it could take on any damned dog it pleased. He
was never abused and certainly not trained to do so he just hated other
dogs. His whole life he only ever got along with 3 other dogs one of them a
stray that I took in and my sisters chi hua hua's.

Do you mean to say they are now running a 'no-kill', open door shelter? I'd
like to see that. On some scales I can see this being true, but in the
broader sense I have my doubts. The problem is, there just aren't always
enough of the right homes available, or space to keep the animals while you
locate the right home, regardless of resources thrown at it.
As a case in point, how many packs of human aggressive chihuahuas do you
think you could place? I'm surprised they even found one. Imagine now that
another pack comes in... then what do you do? Do you keep them around until
the right home shows up? What if a pack of puppies then comes in?
In some sense, you always have to prioritize your resources. Sometimes this
means euthanasia, although as you point out, the resources involved in
euthanizing an animal are not nil.

Dunno, I wouldn't like to be confronted with one, although it might be funny
to watch on some kind of sitcom.

This really gets too me when i see post like this, my girl friend owns a pitbull 3year old male never had him trained and her pit is more friendly then my foxy, people give theses dogs a bad name cause of SOME people out there that just fight the dogs, now come on i've seen alot of wild dogs out there that attack and you dont hear alot about it but when it's a "pitbull" everyone hears about it.
It's the way you bring them up so plz think before you post stuff like this as a topic, would you have wrote something like this if a pug dog or something else attacked your dog? i don't think so.The pitbull mustnt have wanted to hurt your dog cause by all means your dog would have been worst maybe the bitbull got bad vibes from you and was the reason it attacked cause it felt you where scared?
I'm not sticking up for that pitbull it was wrong in what it done but it's got me up that you say to everyone get rid of them when i know and saw pitbulls that arent fighters.

Hi,
when we heard of pitbull, rottweilers etc attacks.. the owners of these dogs should bear full responsibilty for all damages their dog has done - including psychology and emotionally..

having these special breeds means the owners must give them special care, or at least, keep them in a fenced up compound.. never walk off leash..

owners who "don't care" are just so irresponsible and i pity their dogs - coz one day they'll surely bump into troubles.
