Hi, Arlette,
I'm so glad to hear that Cocoa is doing better! What a relief, yah? =)
I had to laugh when I heard you say that after you spend a lot of time
petting his ears, he has to scratch a long time as if he needed to get
every hair back in place. My sweeties were like that too. They loved
to have me pet their ears (they were up ear rabbits) and their ears
would go down until they were flat on their backs. As soon as I
stopped petting, though, there'd be a hard head shake as if they
needed to fluff up their ears again. *laughing*
My doctor said that once signs of infection were clearing, we had to
continue to give antibiotics for a month in order to zap all the bugs.
And believe me, you want to zap all of them because if you don't,
they'll come back even meaner than before... and that's NOT good.
I'll keep you and Cocoa and all the other ailing bunnies and bunny
parents in my thoughts over the weekend... Crossing my fingers for
great results on Monday!
*hugs*
akiko
