Im in need of a opinion prior to purchasing this set up.
unfortunately i forgot the brand names of the tank and the stand. but
basically the tank seems very well made, the seams corners are sealed
with a black silicone and are trimmed perfectly, no excess 70 gallon
(not sure of exact dimensions but basically 2 system 2 tanks). the
stand is a wooden black stand with 4 adjustable shelves in the middles
surrounded on either side by a cabinet complete with door. the stand
color is black, with additional effort taken to make it look seamless
(close observation reveals its not tho)this entire set up is on sale
at a locally owned pet store (not a chain) for a total of 493.88 (tax
included.
I've heard mixed reviews about the hoods, but they seem to do the
job, and they look awesome. the price seems a bit high for a glass
tank and wooden stand. but you pay for convenience (no unsightly hang
on filters or hoses and can fit nearly flush with the wall (will allow
some hand space for wipe downs if necessary)
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
